I spent years inside the systems that matter. Planning cyber survivability tests for Navy combatants at OPTEVFOR. Running red team operations against federal healthcare environments. Writing the test plans that decided whether weapon systems were ready for deployment.
What I kept seeing was a gap between what the reports said and what an adversary could actually do. Organizations with clean compliance posture and adversary-facing vulnerabilities nobody had tried to chain together. Penetration tests that read like scan outputs.
